The values are integers. For each post type, for each of upvote and downvote, we can set a number. Current values are:

Should posting on Meta affect reputation? When we launched this community, we did not yet have the ability to set different reputation grants for different categories. What you describe in your last paragraph is kind of what I had in mind for not-bounties: at some ability level (so not brand-new users), you can start earning a small number of "promotion tokens" or whatever we'd call them, and then you could spend a token to highlight a post for some period of time.... Whether (and how much) rep is granted is actually configurable, per category, so a community can set meta to 0. A: How to get rid of the tag ordinals? We don't have a way to outright delete tags yet, but moderators can merge a tag into another tag. After confirming that `ordinals` still had 0 posts, I merged it into `ordinal-numbers`. You shouldn't see the former show up in tag suggestions now, and it's not visible in the tags list. (more) |
