Please welcome your new moderator, Peter Taylor
Math has been running without any community moderators for a while. This is not ideal from a community-building perspective, and with this community in particular, it's also far from ideal for Codidact staff members who are not math-fluent to be the ones evaluating flags and handling other issues.
Please welcome Peter Taylor, who has graciously agreed to be a moderator here. Ideally we'd like to have more than one moderator -- it's easier when you have someone to discuss issues with -- but one is a big improvement over zero. Nominations are still welcome.
Please also continue to use meta to work out issues of scope, policy, and whatever else affects this community's ability to grow. We saw some hesitancy from candidates because a lot of things here aren't fleshed out yet, but moderators aren't the ones who should be making those decisions -- the community should, and then moderators can implement whatever y'all agree on. Please help our moderators succeed by working together; they're here to serve, not to fix everything single-handedly. Thanks, and welcome Peter!
