Mathematics Codidact (MCD) is for people studying mathematics at any level and professionals in related fields.

The following is an outline of subjects covered in MCD. It is not necessarily a complete set of independent related fields; it only wants to help users to know the scope of MCD.

If you have any suggestion about removing some items from the list, editing them, or adding some new ones, you can post it as an answer to this post. You can also discuss the list in the math channel of Codidact Communities Server on Discord.

This is useless. People don't need detailed guidance about topics that are obviously on-topic anymore than they need guidance about topics that are obviously off-topic. This fails to accomplish even that as it's incomplete, as you say, and, more importantly, topicality isn't just a matter of subject area. There are off-topic questions about category theory and on-topic questions about crochet. Where guidance is most needed is for questions that are off-topic for non-obvious reasons.

Your first sentence is also potentially misleading. Math Codidact is also for people who aren't studying math and aren't professionals in related fields. We don't care (or have anyway of knowing) who the asker is or what their motivations are as long as the question is good and on-topic.

@DerekElkins You're absolutely correct.

This wouldn't be useless if this site was properly SEOed. I tried finding a Q&A site with "proof theory" in it. (After all, I did not find Codidact through search engines, but incidentally, also when searching internally, there are now only two results for "proof theory". This thread, and the other one is me complaining about the site's bad SEO.)
