Recommended practices for reformatting one's old posts?

Background: On *the other site* there is (I believe) no support for footnotes, so one has to use a workaround using `<sup>` tags. Thus I assumed that footnotes were also unsupported in Codidact, until @trichoplax's edit for my most recent post.

What ought I to do now? I intended to go through my posts and reformat them, but I found out that this will bump all my posts to the top which might be undesirable.

What does the Codidact community think? Is reformatting worth bumping all one's posts? Is there perhaps some alternative way of editing that doesn't bump one's posts?
