- I definitely think there is some room for a stats community on codidact. I have participated a little in the mathematics community here and do read it now and then; while there's clear overlap, I think the general style and emphasis in questions and answers is broadly distinct from what people looking for stats answers will tend to seek (much as is the case on stackexchange and on relevant subreddits).
While statistics uses mathematics, and its theoretical foundations are mathematical, statistics is not mathematics. It's nearer to a form of applied epistemology.- I'd be keen to participate in a codidact stats site; indeed I have a number of potential commonly asked questions in mind to help start things off.
