What are some introductory texts for learning acoustics modeling using FEM-BEM simulations?

I need to understand the theory and implementation.

I have found, for example, a master's thesis:

https://lup.lub.lu.se/student-papers/search/publication/3566643

However, I am unsure if it's a good way to learn this, although a master's thesis is likely at a not-too-hard level of expertise.

Then I also found this website, which might be a good resource:

https://www.boundary-element-method.com/

The page links to a survey paper, which might be good reading nevertheless to understand what methods are more active than some others:

The Boundary Element Method in Acoustics: A Survey
Stephen Kirkup
Applied Sciences 9(8):1642

However, I would possibly be a bit wary of this, since the paper is by just one author.
