When someone includes $\TeX$-like math between dollar signs (`$`) in a title, the title renders nicely but the HTML title renders raw (with the dollar signs and all). The latter is terrible for readability — and, I assume, screenreaders. This affects, presumably, wherever the HTML title appears: browser tab/window titles, search-engine results, etc. I propose one of the following be done (preferably the first if feasible, but I suspect it's not):
1. The site software should convert the $\TeX$-like math into plain (Unicode) text and make that the HTML title.
2. People should avoid using $\TeX$-like math in post titles, either replacing it with words or with plain text (like "x²+2x−1") or omitting it.
